Sat Nav on a BMW E46 330D

Brother in Law is about to buy a 2003 E46 330D Touring which has a digital telly in the dash but no SatNav.

Is this an easy thing to add or does it mean shelling out on a separate unit for TV and SatNav.

I think he is gonna pay the deposit in 5 mins but I said that I would ask you lot on his behalf.

Unusual to have one without the other.
Normally the car has a satnav & screen and the tv is an add on.
Sounds like someone has tried to do a retrofit and not yet got the satnav module ? - there is one module for the nav, another for the tv I believe.

There's a seperate module for the radio too.

Or perhaps someone has removed the nav drive to sell on ebay?

Look for the connectors in the boot, and if they are there it should be plug and play.

As said this car would never have come out of the factory like this. Somebody has removed the navigation computer from this car. The good news is that you can refit it simply by purchasing another navigation computer.
