It's a Sport not an M Sport. Get a replacement torch from Ebay for a fiver.

Why does my 02 plate 325 Ci Msport say exactly that on the V5 if they changed it from sport to Msport in 05?

Double check your V5, I would be very suprised if it actually does say M Sport, its a 325Ci Sport.

I was obviously being very pedantic earlier as there is no real difference - but the M Sport name did not appear until 2005.
