X5 rear light fix under warranty?

[Kudos]

Over Xmas one of the rear light units (not where the indicators are or the brake lights, the other set on the boot which opens) started to flicker. It's now gone completly on one side, so before I approach BMW would anyone know if this is covered under warranty? If not, it won't be a dealer I'm going to.
