E46 330 rear brake pipe repair
Discussion
It looks like a big job to replace the rear solid brake pipes, which are corroded in the usual place because they go to the front of the car. I am thinking tracing them back to a good section, which looks like it might be inside the car and joining a replacement peace with a compretion fitting. This would mean that I do not have to flare the end of the old steel pipe. Does anyone know if this is going to be possable?

Im not sure that compression fittings are designed to take the high pressure that can build upo in the brake system when the brakes are applied in an emergency and thats exactly when you need them to be 100% reliable. On a brake system i would be using the correct parts and fittings, no matter how difficult it was to fit...
