Removal of trim on 635csi

I'm helping a mate who's restoring a 635csi and we're a little bit stuck on how to remove the trim from around the outside of the side windows, any advice would be welcomed.

Are you talking about the trim that runs around the Hofmeister kink and across the tops of the windows?

These just pull off as they're held on by small clips. Before you ask; yes, they will break.
