Coolant - all the same?

Stupid question, but thissos the first time I've had to deal with it.

My 120d needs coolant - like the oil does it need to be a specific type, or will anything do?

I'm pretty sure you can mix any green or blue coolant with any green or blue top up but if its red / brown you are better off finding out what has been put in and topping up with that.
