MOT I think. Due date can be changed in iDrive if required/appropriate.

I can't remember, but if it is the MOT then it doesn't count down miles - it just shows a date. If it is counting down miles then it is a general good look obver the car which I think is a frikking good idea if the car is being serviced by BMW. Recently, my 550 was in for sparkplug and pollen filter change (or whatever it is called) by BMW main dealer and they charged me around £340. 2 weeks later, the car was at my indy having new discs and pads done on the friont because BMW didn't even look at the car apart from perform the actual items that the car said needed servicing. What a bunch of idiots. So, if you are using BMW then the vehcile inspection (if not MOT) is probably a very good idea!smile

I have a happy medium now because I do some high speed continental trips each year and even though my overall mileage is low (sub 8k miles per year) I have BMW see the car for anything on the Idrive (well, not MOT but for the stamps) and my independent also sees the car each year so I know it is in fantastic condition and that it is safe to drive for looong trips.

But BMW.....seriously.....what a bunch of muppets. Who would let a car with shagged discs and pads go without noticing.....it cost £510 at my independent specialist who charge £45 per hour.....the discs are like £140 each...^^ haha
