Hi,
I'm thinking of getting myself a low mileage Z3 and my knowledge of these cars is zilch.
What are the don't touch that model with a barge board, or look out for this or that, or these are the best cars to consider, and finally what's the difference in MPG between the various engines.
Many thanks in anticipation of any help.
Ham.

I've had two of the latr versions. The 2.2 and 3.0. Would definatly go for the 3.0 or you could try the older 2.8.
The bigger engines tend to have a better spec and the fuel econemy aint that much different from the smaller straight 6 engines. As you tend to push them a bit harder. Great cars and still look good today.

Hi, I used to own a 2000 2.8. Great fun to drive. The Z3 came in for a bit of stick when new but all of the flaws that the press used to sight made it a great car.
For instance:
1, e30 interior switchgear - the e30 was a great motor and sloid too. The e36 was no looker on the inside.
2, Poor handling - hello 200 bhp and a short fat chassis. This is so entertaining even at low speeds.
Sod it I'm gonna look for one myslef. lol
