Is 19k for an 80k mile 335d sport good value? FBMWSH iDrive and leather.

Its either this of a 21k 2006 XK8 (Alu Body)

Thoughts anyone?

If the BMW is a good un to go for what things should i be looking out for?

I'm also mulling over a 2-3 year old 335 (although probably petrol rather than diesel) so would appreciate any words of wisdom on "must have" options.

(More with a view to avoiding crippling myself on resale if it's lacking something perceived as being essential, rather than because I'm particulary fussy myself....)

Go for the 335d, fab car and better when you ditch the runflats.
hmm...must haves,
The satnav even though you can buy better units on the High St. as it makes it difficult to sell without it. Get the latest disc off the well known site and it works well enough.
Phone prep, folding mirrors (as the o/s dips when you select reverse) heated seats with leather.
Mine has comfort access which is more useful than you would think, F&R parking sensors, usb port, headlight assist, voice recognition and SP glass
Get one with DAB if you can.

I don't personally class it is great value, for 2k more you could have my 21k mile 335d m sport with extended full BMW warranty, granted it has no nav, but when I looked for my E46 M3prior to the 335d it had to have it, and I used it once in 12 months.

put a deposit on the car yesterday...having a look at it tomorrow, anything i should be looking out for?

As for value its actually the cheapest sat nav m sport coupe in the country....i think its a fair price considering the spec and it will be easier to sell on with the colour and options...been there before selling a MB without COMAND...nightmare.

Plus potential for the deal is there offering me a good px value against my CLK which i could shift for love nor money privately.

Best of luck mate, it's far too dear at 19k even with nav, has it got 19" wheels too?

FWIWi got 21750 for mine at 22,000 miles.

hi there yes it has 19's ive been looking around and not seen many 335d's with nav to be honest but the ones that do have it are coming in at about 23-25k for lower milage.

TBH milage doesnt bother me ive always bought high mileage cars and had no issues so far.

I suppose its swings and round abouts, there giving me 1.5-2k more for my vehicle at trade so in reality the vehicle is coming in about 17k

You have put a deposit on a car that you have not seen yet? hope the deposit is returnable otherwise youve lost it if you dont like it, or youre forced to buy a car you might not like. Deposits are normally non refundable unless you have written approval that it will be, especially from a dealer. If i were you i would wait, a good one will come along sooner or later, you just need to be patient and not rush into it.
