Mine is like this. The problem comes and goes. Pain in the arris. I'm sure there is a way to sort it but I haven't come across one that doesn't involve taking it to an indie and getting the sensors replaced.

Turn the ignition on, engine off put the car in reverse, put your ear next to each of the sensors, the one thats not clicking will be the problem.

Order a new one from BMW, they can be ordered pre painted

The push out and clip in.

Mine is also doing this at the moment. Sometimes it works fine, other times it beeps and there is nothing behind. I have done the listen to the sensors route and they are all clicking away. So I'm not sure what the problem is. I guess once I have reversed into something when the sensors have stayed silent it will need to go to the Indy. hehewink

Either all the sensors are dead or it's the control module.

Have you tried reseating everything including the module ?

I'm pretty sure all the sensors aren't dead as it still gives me all the warnings when reversing up to something - it's just that they sometimes start beeping when there is nothing there. Plus they are all clicking away. I'd be surprised if they all just died overnight?

How do I go about resetting the module? Is it a battery disconnect job or does it need to be hooked up to a diagnostic machine? Cheers.

Might sound silly but are they clean?

Mine did that after a spider made a small web over one - Cleaned the web off and they worked fine again!

One sensor had a corroded connector on my old E46. Same symptoms.
