help: Funny groaning noise e39

When I reverse on left hand lock I get strange groaning noise from the front nearside wheel.

I've just had the car repaired for some fairly superficial damage to the front nearside and the tracking etc was done then.

The car also seems a bit "lumpier" when driving along on apparently smooth roads (but no apparent strange noises).

Anybody got any ideas what it can be?
