Need a differential for a 2004, 318 - recommend me a source

It's more a case of wanting a new one, not actually needing a new one. Something inside has failed and it's making a slight whining noise which drives me nuts. The specialist who looks after my car has said he's heard worse and running the car will cause no damage or have any effect.
I've done the usual EBay and Google searches but am interested to hear of any recommendations of someone/somewhere who could supply me with one at the right price.

Ive got a second hand diff sitting in my garage from a 323. I thought my diff was on the way out but it was a rear wheel bearing. I don't know if the ratio is the same as a 318. but if it is compattable let me know if you're interested.
