E90 Coupe M Sport prices
Discussion
Hey,
I'm in the market for a BMW and i was just going to get an e46 330 M sport, but this month is going rather well so decided to look at an E90 M sport coupe's...
My question is what's the the deal with the prices on these used? Looking at them on piston heads and auto trader, there seems to be loads of SE's from 13k onward, but there seems to be a massive lack of M Sport coupes, then once above 20k you see them with just 20k on the clock. There does seem to be that middle ground... Also been on the bmw website to look at the approved used bmw's, and it's pretty much the same story there. Put in 20k as my limit, and they just had a couple of 320 M sports coupe's with around 20k on the clock...
I was sort of thinking that with the car being 2007 reg onwards, I'd be able to get a nice black 325 M sport coupe for 17-20k with like 40k on the clock...
Yay nay?

I bought an E90 Saloon.
325i M-Sport registered in Dec 2007 (the 3 litre engine model) for £21K with 5k on the clock in Mar 2009. From a main dealer.
At that time I was saving around £15-16k off the list (including options) for a car little over a year old.
When I was looking there were a lot of relatively cheap cars at main dealer's. My car was an ex-BMW car.
Someone on here did mention that BMW sell these ex-Manager cars (call them what you will) to the dealers in some sort of sealed bid auction. Obviously the cost to BMW is much lower than list and then the dealers get them cheap as well.
But I remember spending quite a few weeks looking on BMW AUC and the cars didn't hang around for very long. I suppose you just need to be in the right place at the right time for when this group stock flows into the dealer network.

The M Sport model came out about a year after the SE, hence most early ones are SEs. Given the M Sports are often a year younger, and they usually carry a £3K premium being the Sport, then its about right to see a £6K jump between the two.I'm in the market for a BMW and i was just going to get an e46 330 M sport, but this month is going rather well so decided to look at an E90 M sport coupe's...
