Test drove a 125i m sport coupe yesterday.... couple of immediate questions:
1) it felt fairly slow! not a lot of torque, had to really push it for anything. Noise was fairly muted as well. anyone had experience of chipping / mapping back to 130i levels?
2) steering felt DEAD! I can imagine it would get better, as you got used to the lightness and limited feedback. has anyone ditched the new steering system in favour of the previous 3/5dr set up?
3) anyone had experience with the performance brakes / suspension / exhaust for this model?

I drove the 125i and 135i back to back. I must say the 125i sounds lovely but that's about it. 135i was really quite quick.

It would cost a fair amount to get the car back up to 130i levels of power, assuming it's not simply an ECU reflash.

I was having a sniff around the AUC website yesterday and saw a 2007 130i 5 door in black/black with literally all the options advertised.

I'd plump for the 130i with all those toys if I was in the market for (another) one series.

Alternatively, if it must be the coupe, have you considered the 123d and a pair of earplugs? biggrin

The steering will feel different between the 135i and the 125i as the latter uses the electronic system, whereas the 135i gets a hydraulic system. Not sure which the 130i has?
