I currently run a 318ci M-Sport E46 Cab (04), its only done 27k and I was wondering if the engine firstly has a cambelt or is it chain? And if it does have a belt if it needs to be replaced after a certain age, despite having only covered a handful of miles?

Cheers mate. Are the aux belts changed as part of the servicing? I have a sevice due in just over 3k, so may mention it to them then!

Thanks again!

I dont think they are on the service schedule, im fact im pretty certain they are not.

They are changed on a need basis. They are normally inspected during service time + are pretty cheap + quick to have replaced. Inspections normally state they are staring to crack first.
