Been thinking of changing my 1999 318 for a few months now.I have about £11000 and my car so hopefuly about £12-£12500 depending on what deal I can get.Firstly I wanted a 5 series m sport.There are plenty for sale but all with very high miles.So Ive decided to go for the 3 series m sport but again good examples with sensible miles are just a little to expensive.Bearing in mind the car I have got has only 77,000 on it you can see my problem.My local dealer has a 2006 es model in for £12000 with only 15,000 on it but the spec looks a bit naff.Am i expecting to much for my money?

I would like a 1.8 or a 2.0 petrol

I'd worry less about mileage and more about condition and history.

If you are looking at a 3 yr/old car, I'd prefer one with 50k motorway miles than 20k hard town miles.

You can definitely get a 318se or maybe a 320se for that money. MSport I doubt...
