3 Series E46 Sat Nav

[ParanoidAndroid]

Appologies if this question has been asked before, I'm struggling to get search to work at the moment - seems to return "Nothing found" even when I put just e46!

Anyway, I have a 2001 3 series E46 Touring with the widescreen sat nav on it's original 2001 disc. Are there any options for updating this, specifically to give me postcode search and if possible speed cameras?

Cheers
Graham

It is possible to get a full 7 postcode and speed camera alert with a simple mod if you have a later DVD mk4 drive mate but as yours is a 2001 it will probably be a mk3

Thanks, how can I tell what model I have in the car? It simply has GPS Navigation System on the front whereas the one in your link appears to have DVD. I assume mine must be a Mark 3 in that case. I've just checked the disc and whilst I thought it was a 2001 disc it actually is a 2003-2 disc so a bit more upto date!

Check the drive in the boot. If it's a CD drive, not DVD, you have Mark 3 which is what I'd expect for a 2001 car
