My E36 had been left for about 4 hours, then when I tried to start it the dash lights up but there was no ignition, and the alarm went off for a few seconds, with no response to the remote fob. Surely the battery can't be dead after standing for 4 hours? What else could it be?
yep, i've never known a BMW to turn over slow with a low battery, they just get to a point where the starter won't move, but there still is enough power for various electrics.
it's worth a shot, as it's often discounted too early when trying to sort a non start
