I just got a new job in northampton at a place called In 'n' Out servicing. They claim to service ANY car for £99. An e60 M5 came in and got his £99 service including 9.3 ltrs of castrol edge 10w-60. I think these are about £18 a litre? But there is LOADS of the bmw m series oil and I asked someone there and they said we get a fair few in for a inter service as the company does them at a LOSS! Obviouslt this is quickley made up for the 4litres of 10w-40 for corsa's etc which cost about £6 and some labour. Also the air filters are checked evan if not specified for the service and can be replaced for £15 each, which the M5 owner took full advantage of, I think the filters were BMW ones as well as COOPER did not list them.

The service :

Complete engine bay check, incl testing coolant, battery check, air filters checked/ replaced if nessesary.
Under vehicle inspection as usual incl g/box oil check.
Inside inspection - a/c check windows/ wipers all the toys etc, service reset

ALL parts used a top quality i.e the wipers = bosch, engine oil's are ALL castrol and the only oil to enter the car is the 'stuff' that is recommended by the castrol website.

Also working there I get a service for £30...................

If only I didn't have a 318ci eay?

1 last thing - the service is done over a pit and the wheels are not removed.

cheers, Tom

Not really a service is it.

Makes mental not to never buy a car with "service history" from this company.

No, but if you wanted an interim unofficial oil change - it's perfect. BMW intervals (non-M anyway) seem far too long.
