Modern Run flats - Are there any good ones (Z4 Coupe)
Discussion
How good are the latest run flats now in 2010? (Yes this question again)
The rear tyres on the Z4C need replacing and I need to make a call between modern run-flats or a full set of normal tyres. I find the ride on the dangerous side of stiff at the moment as you can struggle to brake effectively when it gets bumpy.
I’ve read a lot of stuff on the RFT debate here
Not to keen on the idea of messing up the suspension geo. by going with conventional tyres and I hear tht modern run flats are much better.
Has anyone got any experience of these new tyres? I’m about to go on a 3,000 mile trip across Europe in a weeks time so I don’t want to mess the car up by fitting the wrong tyres.
Does anyone have any recommendations on run flats or should I just make the leap to normal tyres?

How would fitting better tyres mess up the geometry ? won't make any difference providing the wheels are the same (or at least the same offset)
Go for conventional tyres , far more grip on uk bumpy roads, far easier to live with in ride and seem to be more even wearing and less critical on pressure
