Z4M Gearbox Rattle

Z4M Gearbox rattle which has been pointed out to me before as the input shaft ?

Are they all noisey ?

I got caught up in some stop start traffic over the weekend and really noticed it - seems to get worse when turning.

Do they have a different gearbox as my Alpina Roadster never did it.

Just looking for advice off some real owners

It`s normal, don`t worry about it. It`s the same noise you get when you switch the engine off without your foot on the clutch. Try it next time you switch off, once with foot on clutch and once without.

I took mine back to the dealers with the same complaint and actually drove another one and they both did it. Mine has had new engine, clutch check and gearbox check whilst engine out and no issues.

As above, it's a 'charachteristic' of the car and not to be worried about unless it's really loud.

just seemed abit strange that it does it more whilst turning i.e into my drive.

When it is cold there is no sound
