BMW Business media unit
Discussion
I've got an 04 E46 325Ci and am considering swapping out the business radio/tape media unit as I think it looks dated and crap.
I've got a CD changer in the boot.
Anyone know if a tv unit from the same car/same era would just slot in? Or am I being naive and some sort if electrical re-map is required for it to work?
Thanks in advance.

Other components are needed for this swap in addition to the 16:9 screen head-unit:
radio tuner module (BM54)
wiring loom
navigation drive (if you want sat nav - a mk 4 DVD drive is best)
TV tuner and aerial (if you want television - analogue tuners are cheap but pretty much obselete; digital hybrid tuners are around £1,000 from BMW and reports on quality of reception are mixed)
revised facia to relocate the air conditioning controls
...it is do-able, but it is not a straight swap - there are normally adverts on ebay to supply and install the equipment for head-unit radio tuner and navigation - around £1,500 installed I think.
