Can I re-site the indicator stalk?
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm about to get a 3 series (2003 330Ci) and want to know if anyone has any ideas on the problems that will be faced by trying to put the indicator stalk where the clutch pedal would go (oh yeah, its an auto!)?
Due to no left arm I have to sort out a way of operating the indicators, and this usually means a crappy thumb switch on the steering wheel. Many years ago I used to just cut down a Cortina indicator stalk, bolt it to the floor and re-route the cabling thereby disconnecting the original stalk. But these modern cars seem to be a bit more complex lol
Anyone got an ideas? Anyone know any whizzy auto electricians in the South West (UK) that might like a challenge?
Any comments/help appreciated.

Its surprisingly easy to be honest, once you're used to it. When I had it on my last car and new people got in to drive it they would make a right mess of it, but you soon learn the pressure needed to move it just the right amount.
I will be having a chat with a BMW mechanic once I have the car, and hope there is something that can be done as it was the best solution I have used in the past.
