Anyone had a remap/chip on 330ci

Hey

Just wanted to know if anyone here has had a remap/chip done on a 330ci (not 330d)
Hear it adds 15-18bhp, but also improvements fuel etc.

Any thoughts or experiences?

I'd say thats an optimistic figure for an n/a engine but I could be wrong!

Had mine done and you will get virtually no extra top end BHP, there is very little you can do to the 330's unless you go down the supercharger route....but the re-map did make a hugh difference to the car, the torque at lower rpm was greatly increased and very smooth across the range, always found it sluggish on acceleration but not anymore. You won't regret getting it done.

Mine was done by BWChiptune at Bimmerflex last year as they were doing a show deal, it was around £220, can't remember exactely.
Not sure where you are but they were helpful guys and went through exactely what they had done including showing the new map graphs on their laptop.

Very happy with the changes, 1 year on and i still love the drive.
Fuel consuption was slightly better but only by the odd few mpg's

I'm not sure if BWChiptune are going to bimmerflex this year but if they are its on Sunday and they offer a show discount.

I do a bit of work with B&W quite often, I'm not sure if'll they'll be at Bimmerflex this year, but they (and I) will be at Santa Pod's Ultimate BMW event and also at the Gaydon BMW show.

If you give them a ring, you'll find out for sure if they will be there, or you could just head to their workshop.
