Now im guessing this the the Final stage unit... but anyway.

I have the digital dual zone climate model, and yesterday it just randomly stopped blowing air out at all. Then this morning it blew air for probably 1min then stopped again. The display shows movement of the speed of the fan and looks to be working perfectly, i can hear all the motors/valves moving when i press the aircon and up/down etc.

How hard is it to change the FSU and how much am i looking at roughly for the part?

It will be, it's like a hedgehog looking thing, and you'll be looking at about £60 (IIRC).

You'll lose skin for sure off both hands, but it's an easy enough fix - delving in under the dash on the passengers side - plug and play jobbie.

cheers dude, is it in the pax footwell? behind the air vent or something i read?

While looking btw Neil i saw the price for coolant sensor for your motor. £10 from GSF if anyone that looks at your car asks. Oh and if you want to re-iterate how much the suspension wor for yours is worth, I've spent best part of £500 for front wishbones and RTAB's.

There's now a plan hatching.

The missus might have it thumbup - therefore I get to keep her, do her up, AND get an M5 (we sell her MX5).

Result smile - so yes, I'll go get a coolant sensor.

ETA: Yes, in the PAX footwell, off to the right, up behind the central dash. It's an arse, and you'll be upside down, swearing like a trooper. I want to see pics of your hands afterwards.

Thanks Top Gear

I'm starting to notice they are niggly little b'stards these 328's aren't they. Still an epic automobile for the price (I'm still over the moon with mine), but they do seem to like their niggles. I seem to have a very small coolant leak at the front of the engine in mine, which surfaced the day I fixed a fuel leak.

i know what you mean. when checking the knocking from the front. mechanic found i had a cracked thermostat housing and both front wishbones were shot. I replaced the thermostat housing and now have a very small leak (or still MORE air in the system). I had the wishbones done and mechanic also found the steering rack has slight play, then last night this packed up.

sigh.... atleast when its all done i'll have a top motor smile

ETA: this is what i need right??

any tips for the fitting of this?

Also im hearing mixed report of where it actually is. Some say R/H side of drivers footwell behind trim and others are saying up behind the vent in the passenger footwell. It should arrive tomorrow so dont want to start ripping things out that i dont need to!
