Brake pads advice

Chaps,
The 'brake pads worn take to dealer' warning has just flashed up on the wifes 520d (2007).
Now, it's going in for it's service next Friday but that means it's got another 300 - 400 miles to do before then.
Is this pads warning pessimistic and
they'll last till then or are they likely to be completely shot and won't last another day?
Car still stops as good as ever, and there's no squealing or grinding.
Cars done 51k miles on original pads.

300 to 400 miles should be fine (providing you are not doing a track day!).
