Bored of my Golf GTI and fancy a change, this E34 has caught my eye.
Anyone know the car?
What sort of running costs would that have??

Not quite a full sport conversion as it still has standard seats [nitpick/]
You would need to get rid of those nasty wheels and blacked out kidney grilles.
But..
I love it!
I used to have an E34 535i saloon, it was a bit thirsty but serice/parts costs were reasonable. They built them to last back then.

How much & difficult would something that modified/customised be to insure?
I'd assume you'd get 25mpg round town and 30+ mpg on a run (for comparison my e34 M5 did 20mpg round town, and 28mpg on a long motorway run).
I know there was a 540i Sport Estate in the e34 range (282bhp & 295lb/ft), but they don't come up often - especially in the manual 6-speed format - and they have the same expensive suspension as the M5 (£1k/corner).
