I have these M Sport alloy wheels,

as you can see the paint as faded/discoloured to a olive type silver not nice!!! so I need to repaint them, the plan is 2K based coat and lacquer, my problem is regarding the colour, firstly is there a specific clour code for BMW wheels? or even M sport specific ? if so what's the code and is it availbe from Motor Factors? if not can anyone suggest a colour that will bring the wheels back to their former glory.

It’s quite possible it is a std colour, but the inside of the wheel is a lot brighter, maybe they used a tinted lacquer, either way they looks a bit pants , a friend as a 730D with the same wheels but his are much brighter silver and look so much better.
Unfortunately his doesn’t know if they are specific colour. But it stands to reason that if different shades are used maybe on different spec cars or different model years, that some code should be available somewhere.

I bought a spare set for my E39 earlier this year and one is a slightly greeny colour, on close inspection it appears it may be as a result of a tinted laquer used for a refirb.

or is it possible that they came like that std, it's unlikely the seperate re-furbs would result in this 'green ish' tint.

Thanks for that, I've looked at the Wurth range and IIRC they do 3 shades/grades of 'German Car' silver, which is the correct one? looks like a few cans of the correct shade rattle can followed by a coat of 2K clear will be the best option.
