840 two stroke!

I changed the valve cover gaskets on the M62 4.4 v8 engine 8 series - common oil leak problem. A week later she is burning oil like mad and will cover the place in smoke when running. It seems it might be the PCV unit which has failed? Anyone had any experience of this?

Yes, very common and BMW have a modification for it. It is a PITA to get to at the rear of the plenum but not impossible.
