Am I being stupid? I can't find a button to bring them in?

Car is a e46 330ci clubsport.

Anyone changed their kidney grills for black ones or fitted carbon fibre corner splitters? Not interested in other mods just think these may look nice(r).

Folding mirrors is an option, you may not be able to find the button because it's not there! It should be on the Switch for adjusting the mirrors.

Carbon splitters? Not my cup of tea! Kidney grills in black? Look ok, just pull your own out and give them a coat of paint! I did it years ago with an E30 I owned. Bought an aerosol from Halfrauds and did it myself.

The most common rule of thumb used for electric folding mirrors on the E46 tends to be that if you have electric seats with Memory function then you should have electric folding mirrors.

If you do not have electric memory seats then you will not have electric folding mirrors.

Not quite. If you have electric memory seats and elec folding mirrors weren't added as an option when new, then you should be able to retro-fit them. You need to buy the correct mirror units and a new mirror control which includes the folding switch.

Oh, and there's also a compatability issue with the type of wiring to the mirror to check. Some have a ribbon type, some don't. Can't remember the details, but it has been discussed a lot on the BMWLand forums. Get yourself over there and do a bit of a search!

Strangely enough, by coincidence I've just found this on BMWland:

I do have memory seats. Seems a strange thing to have to pay for as an extra? Suppose that's BMW, if they can get away with it they will try.
