I have a 3 Series coupe, 335d 07 model year

The car developed a fault yesterday with the front near side side lights, which stopped working.
The indicator inside the car came on when i started up in the morning indicating a 'light' problem.

Usually when i start the car the side lights come on on the front automatically, now on the near side, both side lights have gone out ?

I would have thought that if it was just the bulb, it would be one only not both.

does anyone have any suggestions

Thanks

The day running lights on those are a 30 watt ish halogen. Both lenses are fed by one bulb through a perspex tube (angle eye) arrangement.

Easy to change. Mine cost about £16 from a dealer.

Mine broke when I hot a sea gull at 90MPH

I've removed the cover on top of the light housing, but cannot see how to remove the side light bulb.

If anyone can explain how this is done it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Bump.

Just happened to me, both "angel eyes" on right side went off. I'll check the fuse tonight but if its not, I assume its easy to pop the light cover in the engine bay and get access to the bulb that way?

The engine bay on the E92 is probably similar to an E93. I had the same sidelight issue on my E93 and it was indeed a blown bulb. Access to the rear of the headlight in both sides is pretty tight by it's definitely something you can do in 10 mins (i.e. not a bumper off, headlight out job). I found out how do it by doing a google for angel eye upgrades for E92 - there's normally numerous photographic guides out there.

By the way, don't bother with the blue tinted bulbs that Autobulbs sell - they claim a whiter light but are just as yellow as OEM!
