BMW 335i at nearly 80,000 miles

What do I need to look out for. Do they have belts or chains.

They have chains, so no belt to renew.

335i's have known issues with coil packs and turbo wastegates, so look for evidence of these things having been replaced. Get yourself over to e90post.com and have a look at the FAQ section in there.
