E39 5 Series - Comms Pack - Phone question
Discussion
Anyone know much about the phone connector in an E39 5 series (2001)?
Do I have to have the Motorola V series phone to use this or is it possible to get an adapter to convert it to another phone? At a guess, I suspect I would lose most of the features such as being able to search the phone directory, sms reading, etc. Unless anyone knows otherwise?
Also, if I do need to get a Motorola V phone, whats the best way to use it? Bearing in mind I have a personal phone and a work phone. Ones a win mobile and the others a crackberry... both are a PITA to turn off remove the sim and move to the other phone and vice-versa. So was thinking about setting call forward on both to a PAYG sim in the motorola... best way to do it?

I thought about this and then decided to just get a bluetotth Parrot kit install instead. So much easier.
You have reminded me though, I do need to rip out the comms armrest and replace - that curly wire really dates the interior of the car.
