645Ci help please
Discussion
Hi all,
Had to change some coolent hoses on my 645CI(2004).It now appears I have a air lock in the sysetem as I am not getting any hot air out of the air vents.When I filled the system with coolent I followed th BMW TIS instructions for filling.This was set heater to full and blower on low,fill expansion tank slowly till correct then start engine and leave expansion tank cap off for about 1 min.
Having followed these instructions I still have no warm air coming from the vents.If anyone has any ideas or has a system they have used that may fix this I would be really gratfull.
Cheers
Neil

Give it a head of water.
i.e. get yourself a large funnel, or similar container that fits tightly, and seals, inside the mouth of the expansion tank, and fillit with water, run engine, wait for the bubbles.
ETA;
I would not have thought that 1 min was long enough to get the car up to operting temp and the stat open if it was cold when hoses were changed.
