Looking for real world opinions rather than Internet rumour.

I really fancy a CSL type induction roar but from what I can gather the standard E46 airbox is very well engineered and losses can be noticeable with certain kits.

Anyone fitted one and what is your opinion?

Fitted a Gruppem (spelling) replica from SSDD motorsport a few years ago to an 330ci sport along with a full exhaust and it was noticably crisper, no faster top end really but seemed alot more responsive. The sound was alot better as well!

That's the system I had my eye on. How was the sound?

Its years ago I did this but I know it was not intrusive or annoying, just nice IMHO. It was an Eisalman (spelling again) system I had BTW.

I had one on my E46 M3 and i think it was a expensive waste of time, the std air boxes are very good, just fit a drop in filter, though watch out for K+N as the oil on them can blow the mafs.
