3 series convertible advice please

Could someone kindly advise me as to whether there would be a significant performance difference between a 325 ci m sport
or 330i m sport convertible 2004 both with auto boxes.

About 40bhp.
The 330 feels like it has significantly more pull from low revs.
I'd imagine an auto 2.5 cab will need lots of revs to move.

Running costs are apparently very similar between the 2.
