Have advertised my 335i M Sport Touring on Pistonheads but no offers to date in the 2 weeks its been on-line. Now at £18,995 from £19,995.

Wondered whether this is down to price or perhaps the fact that its a relatively rare model or that my ad is not written very well?

Would appreciate some feedback as I'm keen to get myself an E39 M5 before they become too old to use daily for 20k miles per annum! Always promised myself one! I didn't want to post the link in case it broke any rules but shoudl be easy to find in the E90 classifieds.

Many Thanks Stuart

Hi Stuart,

You have a lovely car and I did look at it in the classifieds, but the lack of BMW prof. nav and bluetooth is going to massively limit the market. Lemon leather may also be a deal breaker for many.

If it had prof. nav and bluetooth I suspect that it would have gone by now. The 335i in manual guise is a fantastic bit of kit and the touring is the most appealing in my opinion.

Keep your chin up and someone will buy it.

Matt

From a buyers perspective i know when i bought my 335d i was looking for pro nav and bluetooth. I actually really liked the lemon leather.

But I think the 335i falling into the higher tax band put some off, including me.

Also think your's is a drivers car, 335i in manual form and especially in touring it's a fairly rare combination. Most people going for an auto, especially in touring form.

Someone will come along though, it's a good price! Even though i haven't seen the actual ad.

Err ,it's on because the ignition is on. Kinda like every other 3 series with just the ignition on. smile

Remove the mention of the smokers package as I wouldn't want a smokers car. But I agree that sat nav could be slowing interest mainly as people want everything.... I've had my e90 330d for sale for 3 weeks now with nothing and I only assume it's due to not having leather. Patience I think is all we can do.

You could try it on AT, I had my 335d M Sport touring without nav, and with the lemon Dakota leather on here for weeks with next to no interest

Put it on AT and it sold in under 24hours for the full asking price

Andy,

Again, I suspect it's more to do with no nav rather than the alcantara interior. It seems daft, but I wouldn't buy a 330d, 335d or 335i without prof. nav, factory bluetooth and xenons. Ideally it would also have logic 7. If it was a 318d or 320i, then these things would be less significant to a buyer.

Unfortunately these cars need the extras to sell quickly. However, as with your car and Stuarts car, there will be a price point that attracts the right person. smile

What would the car be worth if it did have navigation and Bluetooth? I'd say it needs to be a good 2k under that value to sell easily. As others have said, its silly, but I wouldn't buy one of these without those options either. Not unless there was a substantial cost difference anyway.

Thanks for the help guys. You are all correct I'm sure, Prof Sat Nav would help a lot despite the fact that as discussed on PH often, most people find Tom Tom to be a better navigation system - just not as aesthetically pleasing.

Will remove Smokers Package. Non smoking family!

I have also added to Autotrader in the last week so we'll see what results from that.

I guess a manual 335i Tourer (without Sat Nav) appeals to a narrower market and especially given holiday season it may take longer for that person to come along. Casting my mind back, it took me fully 3 months of looking and waiting before this car came up for sale as I needed a saloon with split fold rear seats or a Tourer which has as standard, so think patience will be vital!

Sticks.

It's on p10 on PH Classified now too. Never used it - can you re-post and move it forward?

Good luck.
