Tyre choice for 535D Touring
Discussion
Hi all
I need to change the boots on my 535D - It's currently on Goodyear Egale NCT5 runflats - 245/40R18 all round.
Anyone got any recommendations? Main criteria are cost and wet weather grip.
Also not sure whether to stick with runflats or go with normal tyres for the improved ride/reduced road noise that most owners seem to get when they switch

Mine has never had RFTs during my ownership. Just swapped out the worn-out Pirelli P Zero rossos for Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (say that three times in quick succession) and after 2000 miles I'm v pleased. A few times I didn't get wheelspin in the wet when I expected it so the grip seems decent. I paid £109 plus fitting from mytyres.co.uk. The Falken 452 also seems to be well-liked and similarly priced.

Any idea as for the cost of a spacesaver and jack? And any recommendations?
Many thanks.
If you go with BMW I think this is what you need: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E61/Touring/Euro...Many thanks.
Estimated price of £150 at your friendly BMW dealer. For a good price try Karl at Cotswold BMW in Hereford or a chap that posts on here as Parts Guru or something similar.

I had Kumhos Ecsta KU31's on last time and although they performed well day to day, they didn't wear particularly well.
Regular or RFT? Heavy wear on the inside edges?
What pressure are people running on their non-run flats?
I picked up a spacesaver kit on Ebay for just over £100.
