Chaps - sorry, a dull one here - I need some new mats for my E90 (would prefer OEM), does anybody know a decent online supplier or should I just go to my local BMW dealer?

Thanks in advance, DD.

Let us know if you do find a good source for OEM. I have cream mats in the car and winter is going to ruin them!

Hi dibbly, these might be of interest to you if your original ones are getting worn out.
Bought these a couple of months back and am very pleased with the quality and they fit very nicely on top of the originals ones and save them from getting worn out and wet.

Do BMW offer any kind of offical online shop for OEM stuff (esp for older cars) or is a visit to a dealer a necessity?

i'd be interested to know this, but i'm 99.9% sure it's a visit to the dealers. just phone them up if you're not sure about them stocking it. but even on my late example 1982 E21, BMW still stock just about any part you could want, so i'm sure if your car is younger, they'd at least stock it smile

Thanks Ross. I think I'm going to need a new boot wiring loom in the near future so it looks as if a trip to the dealers is on the cards. Curse the poor design on the e36.

Cheers Ross, I gave them a call but my e36 is too late for those guys; they only deal with 1992 and prior! Anyway, I gave you a name check so they know you're throwing business their way. Thanks again though, I appreciate it.

Try either of these guys...

Or

I got a OEM set for my E39 from BM Spares for £50.

Cheers,

Jon

The diff will still be turning wether you're in neutral or in gear, and at 160k is likely to be noisy regardless of how regularly the oil has been changed (every inspection 2 I seem to recall).
I'd flush it and fill with the recommended oil. It's unlikely that the noise will disappear completely though.
I've got 3 e36. The lowest mileage is silent (now on 125k), thr 150k car whines a little bit but it's drowned out by the suspension noise and stripped interior. My current daily, at 165k whines on a constant throttle, despite a very thorough fsh from new.

OP, where did you get your OEM mats from in the end?
