E30 BBS BMW Alloy wheel information
Discussion
I am getting a set of 15" BBS cross spoke alloys refurbished for my 1990 E30 318is.
The car is currently running the BBS 14" cross spoke alloy of the same ilk.
I have had the car from new, purchased in 1990...all those years ago, and currently has only 69K on the clock.
The 15" ( 7j X 15)BBS are original (ex old E30 325i) and I picked them up for £70 for all 4 wheels but they have scrappy centre badges.
Can you recommend a good site for the new bagdes and the correct size for the badge?
Some ebay sites have badges at 65mm and 68mm for E30 but they cant all be correct.
I am assuming the badges will be the same size for the 14" vs the 15" variety?
Also, I plan on using 205 tyres on the 15", current 195 tyres on the 14" wheels.
The car is completely original and has nothing changed or added since new.
Will there be any problems, suspension wise, swapping from 14" to the 15" BBS alloys with the larger tyres?
I know the car in 1990 could have been purchased with either the 14" or 15" wheel/tyre combination and was designed to run with either.
