Hi all...

random question here:

which is easier/has more space for getting a full-sus mountain bike into the back of, a 325Ti or a 330Ci?

I'm drawn to the 325Ti because of the hatch, the fact that it's a bit different, and is a smaller car, but then folding rear seats are an option in the 330Ci aren't they?, potentially making a very long load-bay, despite the awkward access due to a boot rather than hatch....

before anyone says, I don't want a Touring.

Any thoughts??

I have a 330ci and the seats fold flat creating a very long load area, i have had my mountain bike in there no problems and i reckon you could fit two at a push, it does make things easier if you can remove the front wheel off the bike but it still goes in fine.

I do not know if the folding seats were an option but mine unclip from the boot and push flat so no messign about.

i have an old E21 and manage to get a full-sus bike in there (without folding back seats down), but it does mean, wheels off and seat post out. sorted smile

You can get a full suspension bike into the back of a compact no problem, but I would just get a mount and carry the bike outside as you will end up ruining the interior.

The compact makes it very easy and is a great little handler IMO and is very often overlooked, so comes cheaper!

just looked at your profile... what gains over the 150bhp did you get with chipping the 320 Compact?

a very believable 30bhp, tonnes more torque at lower RPM and better overall MPG!

Believe it or not, it hassled a 993 C4 round Croft!
