SMG Z4 gearbox problem

Hi. Can anyone offer me some advice. I have recently bought a 55,000 mile, mint Z4 SMG but now having a problem with the gearbox. If I forget to select neutral when I turn the ignition off and leave it like this overnight or for a few hours, when I go to start the car it wont select neutral and therefore wont start unless I get out of the car and 'rock' it back and forward, eventually the servo kicks in and neutral can be engaged. Any ideas anyone? Many thanks.
