BMW e46 320d se

I've recently bought a e46 320 d se 2001 plate and was told by previous owner that it has m sport suspension fitted to it.
Is there any way I can tell if it has this fitted as I fancy lowering the car.
Also what are the best springs on the market at the moment as there is a few to pick from?

Is the ride height for each in the handbook? Or park next to another SE and see if it's lower? Just a thought.

Might be worth checking with BMW dealer records as this is something they offered as an after market option.

You should be able to see the part number on the front dampers without taking the wheel off, then you can look it up on realoem.com etc to see what version it is. You might need to jack the car up to get a good look though.
