E36 Saloon - which child seat
Discussion
Does anyone have any reccomendations for child seats for a 2 year old? I've tried the 2 that we've already got (Maxi Cosi Tobi and some weird Aprica thing that the o/h insisted was necessary) and both seem to move around even when the belts are tightened.
I think it's got something to do with the belt coming from the other side as these 2 seats fit in every other car I've tried.

Yup, had exactly the same thing with kiddie seats in the back of the coupe, eventually i found one that stays still, Britax evolva 1-2-3. It uses different routing for the seatbelt which holds it onto the seat much better than any of the others i've tried. It's not ISOFIX, but still very good, my 2 and a half year old sits in it and no complaints.
Pity the Toby doesn't fit well - it fits well in the various cars I have tried it in..
About that Aprica - is it the one that goes from new-born to Group1. It also has a function where the baby can lay sideways like this one: http://www.lullabys.co.uk/shop/aprica-euroturn-421...
Did you find it any good?

cheers for the replies. I'll have a look at that other Britax.
The Aprica is very similar to that one yes, although it's a couple of years old so a different model. The 'lying down' facility did seem good for longer journeys, but for shorter journeys we'd have to wake him up to transfer to the pushchair - although that would also be the case if we had any other fixed seat.
If I had the choice again, I think I might have considered going for one of those travel system type things where you can lift the car seat out onto a buggy. Problem with them is that they don't seem to cover that big an age range and they require a remortgage to raise the cash. Could well be worth it for the extra hours of sleep for him/peace and quiet for me.
