E90 - Flat Knocking Noise

Dear all,

Im getting a flat knocking noise when going over bumps, and the steering can feel a bit twitchy if I hit a bump mid-corner.

I'm no genius, but im guessing front suspension arm bushes will need replacing? can the bushes be replaced or does the whole arm need doing?

Any idea what an independent would charge, or what is a 'decent'price for the job?

Its a 56 E90 320d M Sport, the MOT is due in November and im wondering whether this will be a fail or not?

Its done 65k.

The knocking is obviously more noticable over bumps, its easily driveable but the knock and feel through the wheel is disconcerting.......i am used to the Msport suspension with RFTs.
