E36 328 Auto to Manual change?
Discussion
Afternoon BMW Forum,
I’m on a 'what seems to be' never ending quest to find a 328 at the moment. However, I would like to find a pretty straight low mileage coupe, as I will no doubt end up doing 20k odd a year soon enough. Here lies my problem, I CANT FIND ONE!!!!

So I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a bargain low mile auto and having it converted to a manual, I have access to a gearbox so that not a problem. But can anyone tell me if it’s a worthwhile idea or should I just shut up and keep on looking, ones bound to turn up sooner or later right?
E36?
There are loads! Admittedly most are high miles autos, but low mileage cars do crop up.
I paid just over £3k for a manual '97 328 Coupe with 72k miles in exceptional condition.
Strong money but it's a great car.
Hold out - a car will turn up in less time than it takes to find and buy an auto, get it converted and then sort out the niggles.
