Having just bought an absolute gem of a E23 735 I am now faced with the wheel and tyre dilemma

Obviously replacement metric tyres are going to be hugely expensive and think that a nice period Alpina 16” rim would look a treat, but you try finding some!!!!

The car really warrants something good with just two owners, no rust at all, mechanically A1+ and just 38k on the dial but without spending an absolute wad of loot in the process

Thoughts and advice are of course most welcome

I’ll have another go using the alufelgen’s, I suspect patience will be needed.

Many thanks, talk about buying the suit but not having enough for the shoes

It was on Ebay and bought pretty well I think.

It’s currently at Carrs BMW in Bury St. Edmunds for an open weekend stood next to a new 740d.

My eyes have been well peeled but nothing had popped up yet

Excellent, they’ve been for sale so perhaps some haggling might be in order.

Carrs have put it through pretty much every inspection going and it needed about £500 spent to get it on the button which is pretty good going.

It has full BMW service history from the day it was delivered and even has the original Cooper Park Lane plates and stickers
