e39 v8 oil leak

i have a small leak that appeares to be coming from the pipes that feed the oil cooler in front of the rad is this a common problem?

Swaged or clipped fittings? You may need to just replace the clipped fittings with new worm drive (Jubilee) clips if the rubber had started to harden, if too bad then its new hoses.
