E36 323 water leak

Its turning into one thing after another with this car but anyway here goes again.

I have just noticed water leaking under the engine. I can only see it running down the belt and onto the ground. I popped the bonnet and I can move the fan up and down maybe 5mm. Does this sound like the water pump has gone. Is there a way to check for sure.

Sounds like water pump.

Remove the VC and have a closer look.

Part #2 sits in front of the water pump pulley, which connects to the water pump
