E61 530i Exhaust Suggestions?
Discussion
Having resigned myself to driving a practical car for the next few years (first baby on the way) I recently purchsed an E61 530i Touring.
Can anyone suggest an exhaust to pep things up a bit? Having come by way of M3 CSL and Cayman both with Milteks on them, I am desperately looking for something that can distract me during this automotive dry spell!
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks

Hi there,
Usual suspects apply!
For the budget end, speak to the places like Powerflow who'll make up a back box and fit it for you for around £250 or so. I did this to my E39 530d Touring a few years ago. As your's is petrol, it'll sound much better, so speak with them prior to fitting to say you want it to be a quiet system and only noticeable on larger requests of the throttle and no motorway boominess etc. They should take that into consideration for you and add the right amount of sound deadening/sbsorbing material inside the box to meet your requests.
Moving up the scale, you could try one of the ready made boxes from some of the brands that make exhausts - super sprint and the likes (cant think of any that do make them though!)
Then its the top end from the likes of Milltek etc. Hayward & Scott are another name often mentioned, and then of course names like Eisenmann and Magnaflow.
Cheers, Dennis!
